Welcome to this week's Financial Inclusion Network news

The Financial Inclusion Network is an informal group of over 250 members taken from the Public and Third Sectors which covers all areas of South Lanarkshire.  This network is to share information from a wide range of themes. We hope to provide a new update each week that can be accessed by all members at any time to see what is going on in the area under the headings below. Money is not the only problem – Food and Healthy Eating

A well-balanced diet is important to provide all the energy you need to keep active throughout the day and nutrients you need for growth and repair, helping you stay strong, healthy and help to prevent diet-related illness. If you are worrying about food there are different organisations that are able to support you. Select this section for different options that are available.

Climate Action Lanarkshire Festival

As part of Lanarkshire Climate Festival, the Lanarkshire Climate Hub are hosting three energy events one aimed at community groups covering community assets, and community energy and the other two aimed at general public covering renewables and general energy advice. 

Community Energy Event

Local groups from the following areas have applied for funding from this year’s Participatory Budgeting fund. We now need you to tell us which projects you would like to see awarded.

Scottish Adult Disability Payment - Consultation

Reminder of a chance to participate in a consultation on the review of the Scottish Adult Disability Payment, which closes on the  30 August 2024. The consultation splits into two parts, one looking for responses from organisations working with potential claimants (e.g. public services, money advice, representing/working with people with disabilities) and the second for potential clients or people with lived experience.
