Stephen works within Scottish Enterprise's (SE) Innovation and Place Directorate where he has responsibility for managing Community Planning Partnership relationships for South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Glasgow and Inverclyde.

In addition, as an economist Stephen also has responsibility for supporting SE’s work with the economic partnerships that have formed around the Glasgow City Region Partnership, as well as work on the East Coast focusing on the innovation component of the Fourth Green Freeport.
