Hall to be leased by community group
Published: Monday 29 April 2024

A Community Asset Transfer has been agreed for a hall in Hamilton.
Low Waters Hall will be leased by Low Waters Community Group for a period of 20 years.
The group will re-open the facility as a community hall and then, through their management, develop additional activity.
Initially, the use will focus principally upon accommodation for the Clyde Scouts group.
The Trustees of Clyde Scouts had initially completed a Community Asset Transfer for the hall but have subsequently asked for it to be transferred to Low Waters Community Group.
Chair of the council’s Housing and Technical Resources Committee, Councillor Davie McLachlan, said: “This is good news for the community of Low Waters.
“I have every confidence the group will make sure the hall becomes the hub of community life again and look forward to seeing their progress over the coming months and years.”
