The date has been set for the first South Lanarkshire Older Peoples Assembly of 2024.
The Assembly will take place on Thursday 13 June in the Ballerup Hall in East Kilbride. More details will be available in The View and from Seniors Together nearer the time.
Building on the Success of local Information Days in Rutherglen, Carluke and the Assembly in Hamilton in November 2023, Older People groups in East Kilbride are being invited to ‘Save the date’ for 2024.
South Lanarkshire Council’s Older Peoples Champion, Councillor Eileen Logan said: “The Older Peoples Assembly is a great way for older people to receive information of importance to them while catching up with each other in a semi-formal situation.
“There is always an opportunity for delegates to give their feedback on services and have their say on what works and doesn’t work for them in later life.”
Invitations will be circulated by Seniors Together closer to the date of the Assembly however potential delegates can express their interest by emailing Seniors Together or by calling 01698 454 105.
