Repairs needed to road in Lanark
Published: Tuesday 23 January 2024
Essential repairs are to take place on a road in Lanark from next week.
Part of Gallowhill Road will be closed, at the junction with North Vennel, on 29, 30 and 31 January between 6pm and 4am each day.
No motor vehicles (except those engaged in the work and emergency service vehicles) will be able to park or drive on the road during this time.
The signed diversion route will be as follows: Gallowhill Road, A706 Cleghorn Road/Hope Street, Greenside Lane, North Vennel and vice versa.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
“We are aware of the disruption that this road closure will cause and hope that the long-term benefits will be valued.
“Your patience and understanding during the works are much appreciated.”
