Allowing access for essential work
Published: Monday 9 October 2023

As a social landlord, we are legally required to ensure that all council homes meet required national standards.
This in terms of condition and that they continue to be safe for tenants to live in.
We carry out a range of works in order to comply with our landlord duties, including; annual gas servicing, fixed electrical testing (every five years), and installing heat and smoke detection.
It is vitally important that tenants allow access to their homes to carry out these essential works. If we have been trying to contact you to arrange access to your home, please email us to arrange a suitable time for us to come back to carry out the required work.
If you have any issues or concerns about allowing us into your home, we are keen to work with you and provide any support that we can, to enable us to carry out these essential works in a way that suits you best. Please contact us using the email addresses below.
For fixed electrical testing and/or installation of heat and smoke detection please email us.
For gas servicing you can also email us directly.
