Leadhills Community Council seeking new members

Nominations are now being sought for anyone wishing to stand for election to the Leadhills Community Council.
If you think you have what it takes to represent your local community then please complete this nomination form. Deadline for nominations is no later than 4pm on Wednesday 13 September 2023.
Any person on the Register of Electors for the Leadhills area of the Community Council who seeks election to their Community Council, should lodge a completed, signed nomination form which should be counter signed by a proposer and seconder, both of whom should also be on the Register of Electors for this community council area.
Please check the boundary map for the Leadhills Community Council area. You can also use your postcode to find out which Community Council represents your area.

The election will proceed in terms of South Lanarkshire Council's Scheme for establishment of Community Councils.
Printed nomination forms are also available from Administration and Legal Services as are the boundary map of the Leadhills Community Council area and the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils. You can also phone 01698 454196 to request these.
In the event of more nominations being received than vacancies available, an election will be arranged and held at a future date. Notification of any election will be provided in due course.
