New trustees are being sought to help oversee leisure and cultural activities across South Lanarkshire.
The board of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) are looking for new trustees to help them with their mission of improving health and wellbeing.
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture has been serving South Lanarkshire since 2002.
Their current operations cover a wide remit, including the management of fitness gyms, cultural venues, community halls, libraries, country parks, an outdoor learning and adventure site, an outdoor water sports centre, golf courses, a Museum and an Ice Rink plus a range of outdoor sports pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts and the zoo at Calderglen Park.
General Manager of SLLC, Kay Morrison, said: “At its core, being a trustee is a governance role and good governance is fundamental to our effectiveness.
“Our Board meets a minimum of four times per year and new Board members will receive training and development to ensure they feel confident in their appointment and are able to undertake their legal obligations and contribute to our public charitable objectives.
“We are making a difference, but we have more to do, your passion and insight could be the key to our future success.
“If you share our vision of ‘Healthier, happier, more connected lives’ and would like to learn more about becoming a Trustee with South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, then we would like to hear from you.”
To learn more about these unique opportunities, and to find out how to apply, please email SLLC or call 01698 476262 (during office hours).
Please note, the closing date for applications is 22 August 2022.
