Area Committee grants help local groups

The latest round of community grants from the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Area Committee has been agreed by the council.
Two grants were awarded to groups as playscheme grants, while a further four were awarded as community grants.
The groups receiving the playscheme grants were Bratpack Playscheme and Fernhill Kids Playscheme (both from Rutherglen) who were awarded £600 each.
The following groups were awarded Community Grants:
- Young at Heart Senior Club, Cambuslang – £520 for administration, outing and entrance fees
- Kirkhill Bowling Club, Cambuslang – £300 for materials and equipment
- Overton Tenants and Residents’ Association, Cambuslang – £680 for equipment, materials, administration and publicity costs
- Cambuslang Parish Church Pastoral Care Team – £200 for an outing
