Improvements on way for road in EK
Published: Friday 10 June 2022

Essential resurfacing is to take place on a road in East Kilbride later this month.
St Leonards Road will be closed from its junction at Morrishall Road to Calderglen Road from Monday 27 June until Friday 1 July.
This closure will be in place for the duration of the works. Access to properties within the road closure will be maintained, although delays should be expected.
A diversion route, which will be clearly signed, will be in place and will be via St Leonards Road, Maxwellton Road and Calderwood Road and vice versa.
Chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these essential roadworks may cause.
“Please avoid the area if you can, and if you cannot we would ask that all road users allow additional time for their journeys and plan ahead accordingly.
“I am sure when the works are completed road users will appreciate the improvements and I thank them in advance for their patience.”
