A section of the A706 at Cleghorn is scheduled to be closed for up to two weeks from Monday 22 November for resurfacing work.
The roadworks along the A706 Lanark to Forth road will be between its junctions with the B7056 Yieldshields Road and the C37 at Harelaw.
During the closure the section of road will remain closed to all vehicles except emergency service vehicles and vehicles involved in the works.
Councillor John Anderson, the chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Committee, said: “We would like to thank everyone for their patience during these works along this stretch of road.
“During these improvement works, drivers are urged to allow additional time for their journey and to follow the alternative route which will be clearly signposted throughout the closure.”
Alternative route is via A706, A721, A73, A71, A706 and vice versa.
