The Burnbank Centre is particularly popular for children's birthday parties with advance bookings in place. This is also a good hall for functions and conferences.
As well as offering traditional library services and community meeting space, the centre is now a focal point for job access, training and internet access, services which are already making a very real difference to people's lives.
Space for youth activities has been provided in the centre. In addition, it provides them with a place to meet their peers, learn new skills, find advice and have fun. The recreational needs of very young children have also been catered for by the provision of a soft play facility, the first of its kind in the Hamilton area.
The main hall is 114sqm and can accommodate up to 150 people in concert style seating or 100 for catered functions. The soft play area is 78sqm and can accommodate up to 25 people.
The creche is 49sqm and can accommodate up to 20 people.
The youth area is 108sqm and can accommodate up to 100 people.
There is a very modern kitchen which has ideal catering facilities. This is a very busy hall which accommodates a wide range of activities from youth to senior citizens. There is on street parking outside the hall.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
