Libraries

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture provides a network of 21 branch libraries. These offer a wide range of books and spoken word to borrow. Our vibrant, busy libraries provide you with author recommendations, reference services and a space to read or study. Specialist children's collections are supported by a programme of children's events and activities to encourage reading and literacy.

You can visit our ActiveIT computer learning centres or access free Wifi to get online in our libraries.

Alternatively our Active-e digital library provides access to online library services. From the comfort of your own home you can access the online library catalogue. From here you can browse, reserve or renew items, update your personal details and much more.

Renewing your library book

At South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's libraries an item can be renewed in person, by telephone or online up to three times, unless someone else has already reserved the item.
