Community halls and school lets
SLLC have a wide range of halls and schools available for community hire. In addition to this, some of our halls are currently part of our savings programme that has provided opportunities and funding for community groups and organisations to progress with community leases.
We have a number of halls in the different geographical areas that are available for a wide range of activities. These range from small community halls to larger venues such as Cambuslang Institute, and our multi purpose venues:
The majority of schools in South Lanarkshire are available for hire by local community groups, individuals and commercial organisations. This is normally outwith school hours, weekdays from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and on Saturday mornings. The types of space available include games halls, assembly halls, gym areas and classrooms.
In addition to the halls directly operated by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture there are a number of independent / community managed halls including Carstairs, Crawfordjohn and Douglas St Brides.
