Sustainable development and climate change strategy

Performance indicators have been agreed with council services and are included in an action plan which demonstrates progress. A range of activities demonstrates the council’s climate change and sustainable development impact.

The action plan is monitored and reported to the council’s climate change and sustainability committee twice a year, and the annual Public Bodies Climate Change Duties Report is prepared and published before submission to the Scottish Government each year.

The council’s climate change and sustainability committee ensure the effective delivery of the strategy and action plan. The council’s senior management climate change and sustainability steering group supports the work of the committee.
