UK Parliamentary general election Thursday 4 July 2024

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at Election Office, 21 Beckford Street, Hamilton ML3 0BT between 10am and 4 pm on any working day from the date of publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday 7 June 2024. 
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Election Office, 21 Beckford Street, Hamilton, ML3 0BT, during the times stated above.
3. The £500 deposit can be paid by legal tender or by means of a banker's draft from a drawer which carries on business as banker in the United Kingdom or by electronic transfer of funds.
4. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024.
5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024. Applications can be made online www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
6. New applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board, David Dale House, 45 John Street, Blantyre G72 0AA by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024.
7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024. 8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board, David Dale House, 45 John Street, Blantyre G72 0AA by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024.
9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board, David Dale House, 45 John Street, Blantyre G72 0AA by 5pm on Thursday 4 July 2024.
