Grass cutting of road verges
As a guide, rural road verges are cut once a year with additional cuts programmed at certain road junctions for safety reasons.
Urban verges in residential areas are scheduled to be cut up to 18 times a year, weather permitting. This work is generally done Monday to Friday between 8am and 4.30pm from April through to October.
Grass cuttings are not lifted, except in areas where landscaping projects are underway.
If you think a grass verge needs cut you can report this if you think it may be a hazard to driving.
