Abington

Station Road is closed between Carlisle Road and Southwood Road from 10pm on Thursday 9 January to 7am on Friday 10 January 2025 for Network Rail masonry and pointing repairs. Diversion via Station Road, Carlisle Road, Edinburgh Road, A702 and Coldchapel Road.

Auchengray

Westsidewood Road is closed at Ampherlaw Railway Bridge for 200m west from 8am Monday 3 February for up to 5 days for Morrisons Telecoms works. Diversion via Westsidewood Road, C37, C203, Girdwoodend Road and vice versa.

Auldhouse

Burnhouse Road is closed between Auldhouse Road and 50 metres northwestwards of Burnhouse Bridge from Monday 11 November to Friday 20 December for bridge refurbishment works. Diversion via Auldhouse Road, Shields Road, Burnhouse Road and vice versa.

Blackwood

The Lairs is closed between Howe Drive and Moa Court from 9am until 9pm on Friday 10 January 2025 for Scottish Water works. Diversion via Howe Drive, Ashmore Avenue and The Lairs.

Blantyre

Hillhouse Road (Eastbound) is closed between Douglas Street and Technology Avenue from 9pm to 6am nightly from Monday 13 January to Wednesday 15 January for anti-skid installation works. Diversion via Hillhouse Road Roundabout, Douglas Street, Main Street Blantyre, East Avenue, Hillhouse Road.

Hazelwood Drive is closed between Fernslea Avenue and Spruce Avenue from Monday 13 January to Friday 17 January for Scottish Power works. Diversion via Fernslea Avenue, Stonefield Road, Glasgow Road, Bardykes Road and Spruce Avenue.

Calder/Westburn Road is closed between Blantyre Farm Road to Hallside Road, Cambuslang from 7am on Monday 13 January to 5pm on Sunday 29 June for roundabout construction works. Diversion route for vehicles under 4.6m – Blantyre Farm Road, A724 Glasgow Road, Hamilton Road, Westburn Road and vice versa. Diversion route for vehicles over 4.6m - Blantyre Farm Road, A724 Glasgow Road, Hamilton Road, Mill Road, Old Mill Road, Westburn Road and vice versa.

Hillhouse Road (westbound access to Technology Avenue) is closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Friday 17 January for anti-skid installation works. Diversion via Hillhouse Road, Hillhouse Road Roundabout, Hillhouse Road and Technology Avenue.

Bothwell

Station Road is closed between Main Street and Blantyre Mill Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 14 January for BT Openreach works. Diversion via Main Street, Blantyre Road, Blantyre Mill Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Woodhead Drive is closed between Old Bothwell Road and 5 Woodhead Drive on Thursday 16 January for Scottish Water ironwork repairs. Local access will be maintained when possible throughout the works.

Cambuslang

Flemington Road is closed between Loanend Road and Dechmont Farm from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 7 January for BT works. Diversion via A724 Hamilton Road, B758 Bardykes Road, B758 Hunthill Road, B7012 Hamilton Road, Stoneymeadow Road and Flemington Road.

Mill Road is closed between Old Mill Road and Arnhem Street from 9am to 9pm on Friday 10 January for Scottish Water maintenance works. Diversion via Mill Road, Overton Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

Howieshill Road is closed between Hamilton Road and 60a Howieshill Road from 9.30am to 9pm Sunday 16 February for Scottish Water maintenance works. Diversion via Howieshill Road, Croft Road, Hamilton Road and vice versa.

Furrow Crescent is closed between number 15 and number 33 Furrow Crescent from 9am to 9pm on Friday 17 January for Scottish Water apparatus maintenance. 

Carluke

Sandy Road is closed between Stewart Street and Brown Street from 8am Monday 13 January for up to 5 days for resurfacing. Diversion via Stewart Street, Glamis Avenue, Chapel Street, Stewart Street and vice versa.

Crossford

Holm Road is closed between A72 Lanark Road (at Nethanfoot Bridge) and Clydevale Orchard from 8am Monday 28 October for up to 7 weeks for works by Scottish Power Energy Works. Diversion via Holm Road, A72 Lanark Road and vice versa.

Blair Road is closed between A72 Lanark Road and Corra Mill Road from 9.30am Monday 13 January for up to 5 days for Openreach works. Diversion via Blair Road, B7086, A72 and vice versa.

East Kilbride

Montgomery Place is closed at Kittoch Street from Thursday 1 August to Wednesday 30 April 2025 for demolition works. There is no alternative route.

Shields Road is closed between Craigend Road and Jackton Road from 8am Monday 6 January to 6pm Wednesday 8 January for BT works. Diversion via Shields Road, Craigend Road and Auldhouse Road.

Craigend Road is closed between Shields Road and Greenbank Cottage from 8am Monday 6 January to 6pm Wednesday 8 January for BT works. Diversion via Shields Road, Auldhouse Road, Burnhouse Road and Craigend Road.

Hawbank Road is closed between Rennie Place and gable end of unit number 7 (Arnold Clark) from 9am to 9pm on Sunday 19 January for Scottish Water repairs to apparatus. Diversion via Hawbank Road, Glenburn Road, B761, West Mains Road and Arrotshole Road.

Hamilton

Annsfield Road is closed from 8am on Tuesday 7 January to 5pm on Friday 17 January for utility works on the carriageway. Diversion via Meikle Earnock Road, Graham Avenue and Strathaven Road.

Melrose Street is closed between Melrose Terrace and Auchinraith Avenue on Saturday 11 January for Scottish Water ironwork repair. Diversion via Melrose Street, Whitehill Rd, Margaret Rd, Auchinraith Ave, and vice versa. 

Brankholm Brae is closed between 98 and 104 Brankholm Brae from Monday 13 January to Tuesday 14 January for resurfacing works. Diversion via Fleming Way, Hillhouse Road and Brankholm Brae.

Newhousemill Road is closed between Muttonhole Road and Lismore (East Kilbride) from Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January for carriageway patching works. Diversion via A726 Strathaven Road, East Kilbride Expressway, Sydes Brae, Parkneuk Road, Newhousemill Road and vice versa

Carscallan Road is closed between Beech Avenue and Black Bog Farm from 9am to 5pm on Friday 14 February for carriageway patching works. Diversion via Carscallan Road, Limekilnburn Road, A723 Strathaven Road.

Newfield Crescent is closed from Monday 3 February to Monday 17 February to install a pedestrian crossing. Diversion via Woodview Terrace.

Farm Road is closed between Mayfield Road and number 79 Farm Road from 9am to 9pm on Monday 17 February for Scottish Water iron work repair. Diversion via Livingstone Street, Waverley Crescent and Waverley Street.

Carlisle Road is closed at Avon Bridge from 9am to 4pm on Monday 23 February for a bridge inspection. Diversion via A72 Carlisle Road, B7078 through Larkhall, Canderside Toll, A71 Stonehouse By Pass to Strathaven, A723 Strathaven Road to Hamilton, Low Waters Road, Duke Street, Townhead Street.

Mill Road is closed westbound between 1 Mill Road and Strathaven Road from Monday 3 March to Friday 7 March for Virgin media repair works. Diversion via Clydesdale Street, Douglas Street and Almada Street.

Kirkfieldbank

Old Bridgend is closed at Kirkfield Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 19 February for inspection works at Clydesholm Bridge.

Lanark

A73 Lanark Road (Cartland Bridge) is closed between A72 Kirkfieldbank Brae and West Nemphlar Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Sunday 16 February for bridge inspection works. Diversion via A73, A721, A706, A73 and vice versa.

Larkhall

John Street is closed between Church Street/Machan Road and number 17 John Street from 9.30am to 9pm on Sunday 19 January for Scottish Water manhole repairs. Diversion via John Street, Hareleeshill Road, Keir Hardie Road and Machan Road.

Candermill and Marlage Road are closed between Hill Road and Broomfield Road from Monday 27 January to Friday 21 March for Scottish Water mains upgrade works.

Lesmahagow

C202 from Balgray Road to C13 New Trows Road is closed from the junction with New Trows Road to the junction of Gleck from Carlisle Road B7078 to Lesmahagow C202 from 8am on Monday 13 January for up to 3 weeks for installation of ducting and cabling works by Scottish Power. Diversion of C202, Balgray Road, Carlisle Road, B7078, Birkhill, Bellfield Road and Coalburn Road.

Rutherglen

Bankhead Road is closed between Ewing Street and Mill Street from 8am Monday 6 January to 5pm Sunday 2 February for Scottish Gas works. Diversion via Mill Street, Kings Park Avenue, Bankhead Road and vice versa.

Wallace Street is closed between Bankhead Road and Harriet Street from 8am Monday 6 January to 5pm Sunday 2 February for Scottish Gas works. Diversion via Wallace Street, Bouverie Street, Farie Street, Cathcart Road, Burnhill Street, Mill Street and vice versa.

Blairbeth Road is closed between Glenlui Avenue and 284 metres west from Monday 6 January to Friday 10 January for Virgin Media maintenance works.

Broomieknowe Road is closed between Blairbeth Road and Blairtum Drive from Monday 6 January to Friday 10 January for Virgin Media maintenance works.

Hillend Road is closed between Blairbeth Road and 36 metres south from Monday 6 January to Friday 10 January for Virgin Media maintenance works.

Cathcart Road is closed between Brownsdale Road and Cathcart Place from 8am Tuesday 7 January to 6pm Wednesday 8 January for Virgin Media maintenance works.

Johnstone Drive is closed between Stonelaw Road and Belmont Drive from 9.30am Thursday 20 February to 3.30pm Friday 28 February for BT apparatus maintenance. Northbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Main Street, Mill Street and Johnstone Drive. Southbound diversion via Stonelaw Road, Rodger Drive, Mill Street and Johnstone Drive.

Sandford

Low Kype Road is closed between B7086 Strathaven Road and Struther Highway from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Friday 10 January for BT works. Diversion via Struther Highway, High Kype Road and the B7086, Strathaven Road.

School Road and Stonehouse Road are closed between 42 Stonehouse Road and 29 and 37 School Road from 9am to 9pm on Tuesday 28 January for Scottish Water manhole repairs. Diversion via Boag Road, C116 and B7086.

Stonehouse

Fairy Burn Bridge at Sandford Road is closed from Wednesday 18 December to Wednesday 8 January for emergency bridge repairs. Diversion via Sandford Road, Stonehouse Road, B7086 Lesmahagow Road, Kirk Street, A71 Stonehouse Road, A71 Strathaven Road.

Boghall Road will be closed between New Street and Angle Street from Friday 20 December to Monday 30 December for Scottish Water emergency works.

Sandford Road is closed between A71 Strathaven Road and School Road from Monday 13 January to Friday 17 January for carriageway patching. Diversion via A71 Strathaven Road, A71 Stonehouse Road, B7086 Lesmahagow Road, Stonehouse Road, Sandford.

Lockhart Street is closed at the junction with Lockhart Place from 9.30am to 9pm on Sunday 19 January 2025 for Scottish Water manhole repairs. Diversion via Lockhart Street, Stonehouse Bypass, Strathaven Road, Townhead Street, King Street, and New Street.

Strathaven

Brownmuir and Haptoncraig Highway is closed between A726 and Threestanes Highway from 1pm Friday 29 November to 7pm Friday 20 December for emergency bridge repairs. Diversion via A726, Carnduff Highway, Blackburnmill Highway, Carnduff Highway, C196 Carnduff Highway, Brownmuir and Haptoncraig Highway and vice versa.

Breckonridge Highway is closed from Breckonridge Farm and 150 metres south for BT maintenance works from 7am Tuesday 7 January to 7pm Saturday 11 January. Eastbound diversion via Breckonridge Highway, A71 Darvel Road, Breckonridge Highway and vice versa. Westbound diversion via Breckonridge Highway, A71 Darvel Road, Ardochrig Road, Breckonridge Highway and vice versa.

A723 Commercial Road is closed between Loudoun Street and 39 Commercial Road from 9am to 9pm on Monday 12 January for Scottish Water repairs. Diversion via via A723 to Hamilton, A72 to Cornsilloch Brae, A71 to Strathaven and vice versa.

A726 is closed between Drumboy Road and 900 metres southeast from 7am Monday 24 February to 7pm Friday 28 February for resurfacing. Diversion via A726, A723, A72, A724, B7012, A725 and vice versa.

Uddingston

Old Glasgow Road is closed between Lady Isle Crescent and Kylepark Drive from 8pm to 6am each evening from Monday 27 January to Friday 31 January for railway bridge works. Diversion via Old Glasgow Road, Bellshill Road, Main Street, Glasgow Road, Blantyre Farm Road, Kylepark Drive and vice versa.

Wilsontown

A706 from Forth to the South Lanarkshire boundary at Wilsontown is closed between B7016 and Leven Seat access from 8am Monday 27 January for up to 5 days for resurfacing. Diversion via A706, A71, A73, A721, A706 and vice versa.
