Pass plus grant for newly qualified drivers
We give a £100 grant towards the cost of Pass Plus. This is for newly qualified drivers.
What is Pass Plus?
Pass Plus lets you build on existing skills and knowledge, gain valuable driving experiences and reduce the risk of road traffic accidents. It helps to increase your driving competency and may also entitle you to cheaper car insurance.
The training involves six sessions with a Pass Plus registered driving instructor to give you experience of driving in town, on rural roads, in all weathers, on dual carriageways and motorways and also driving in the dark
How to apply
To qualify for the grant you must
- apply to our Traffic and Transportation Section before starting the Pass Plus course.
- complete the six modules of the Pass Plus course
- live in South Lanarkshire
- have passed your driving test in the last 12 months
When you get the grant
After approval of your application, you will receive a voucher. You can then arrange to take the six modules of the course. When you complete the course you will be issued with a Pass Plus certificate by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Return the voucher to the Traffic and Transportation section with a copy of your official DVSA Pass Plus certificate, record of modules, and completed evaluation form. We will then send you a cheque for £100.
