Drink driving
Alcohol is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. Even a small amount of alcohol can affect your driving including the time it takes you to react, how you see things and your confidence.
We recommend that if you drink you do not drive and if you drive you do not drink. Everyone handles alcohol differently. Body weight, metabolism, fitness levels and even what you've eaten that day can influence how you react to alcohol. This makes alcohol guides unreliable.
There is no way of speeding up alcohol elimination. A person can still be over the legal limit the morning after an evening drinking.
You may also not be fit to drive even if you're within the guideline amount of units.
