Celebrating your 100th birthday
Our Provost is happy to visit anyone celebrating their 100th birthday and will bring flowers and a scroll to mark the special occasion.
Many people reaching this landmark are already in contact with Social Work Resources.
About six weeks before the event, their home care organiser or residential home officer will have a chat about their plans for the day and will help to arrange a celebration.
If people would prefer their celebrations to be private, that wish will of course be respected.
If you are not in touch with Social Work Resources you should phone the Provost's Office (01698 454910) to make the necessary arrangements for the Provost to mark the occasion.
These arrangements are in addition to the greetings sent by the Queen to mark 100th, 105th and every birthday thereafter.
For more information on the Queen's cards, contact the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire's office.
