Moving on from school

Your school will put you in contact with our Children and Families Team in your second year when you are 14.

They can give you and your family support and advice and work with others to get you get the help you need to:

• get into work
• go to college
• get welfare benefits
• use your local library, clubs and other things in your area
• get other support and advice

For the Children and Families Team please contact your local social work office.

More information and support for young people, up to the age of 25 who have a learning difficulty or disability, get into work, training for work or further education is available from Job help and support.
