- Being open minded, understanding and able to see the potential in a young person.
- An understanding of some of the challenges which are faced by young people e.g., family breakdown, trauma, loss and how this may impact on them and their behaviour.
- The ability to remain positive, even when faced with challenging situations.
- A good support network who can be there for you when you need it.
- The ability work as part of a team around the young person.
- Patience, flexibility and a sense of humour.
