Setting standards
Designers should ensure that extensions, conversions and new construction work to existing buildings adhere to building regulations - alternative proposals should be given to Building Standards for consideration. If a proposal is seen as an overall improvement it may still be granted a building warrant, even if it doesn't fully meet regulations. However, new buildings should meet all regulations.
Working with the South Lanarkshire Access Panel
South Lanarkshire Access Panel has direct contact with us hand helps organise workshops on building regulations. Our weekly lists of planning applications and building warrants are sent to them for comments.
