Taxi/private hire car testing
Due to electrical damage at Fleet Services, 4 Livingstone Boulevard, Blantyre, the building is closed today and tomorrow (Wednesday 16 July and Thursday 17 July) while repairs are carried out.

Our Fleet Services workshop tests more than 2000 taxi and private hire cars a year from all four geographical areas in South Lanarkshire.
Taxi and private hire car inspections with or without meters are carried out annually. If you are a taxi or private hire car operator you can arrange to have your vehicle tested between 8am and 6pm - Monday to Friday. Tests must be paid for at the time of booking.
If you have applied to substitute a taxi or private hire car at least two working days notice is required to process the application although during renewal periods this may be extended to three working days. When booking a test please make sure you do not select a test date within this period.
