Animal boarding establishments licence
If you run an animal boarding business such as a cattery or kennels you must comply with The Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963 and have a licence issued by us.

How the application is dealt with
We'll contact you once we have your application form and fee, to arrange an inspection of your premises. They may also be inspected by a vet.
If everything is in order you'll be issued a licence.
If you are unsuccessful we'll tell you why but if you don't agree you can appeal. If you accept the decision you can re-apply at any time.
It is in the public interest that we process your application before it can be granted so you will not get tacit consent. If you haven't heard from us within 28 days contact Environmental Services and we will let you know about your application's progress.

£147.16 application fee, plus vet's fee (variable depending on premises).
