Explosive store licence
Any premises that need to store explosives, such as quarries or construction projects, must apply for a store licence.

Our application form is currently under review by the HSE and will be available shortly.
How the application is dealt with
The licence is checked by the police who must be satisfied that the premises are suitable for this purpose. Once a licence is issued, copies are sent to the Chief Constable and the Firemaster.
How much does it cost
The current cost is £178 for a store licence and £83 for a renewal. Replacing a lost licence is £35. An invoice will be issued when the application is approved.
