Renewing your wedding vows
You can renew your wedding vows with a civil ceremony which can be arranged through Registration Services.
What happens at a ceremony?
It's up to you to decide.
The ceremony can contain readings, mention children, contain dedications from previous wedding guests (often the best man or a bridesmaid), and the exchange of new rings.
A souvenir certificate is signed during the ceremony by you and two witnesses.
The ceremony normally lasts approximately 15 minutes, depending on the content.
Where can the ceremony take place?
Ceremonies can be held in any of our registration offices, licensed premises, or any other place that has been risk assessed by Licensing and Registration. A fee of £55 is payable for a preliminary visit by a registrar for any other type of premises.
