Arranging your civil partnership

If you are having a civil ceremony conducted by a registrar you do not need to collect the civil partnership schedule. This will be brought to the ceremony by your registrar.

If you are having a religious or belief ceremony the schedule needs to be collected in person by one of the parties to the civil partnership from the registrar no more than seven days before the date of the ceremony.

The civil partnership schedule must be returned to the Licensing and Registration Floor 11, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA within three days of the ceremony so that it can be registered. If you cannot take the schedule back personally, you can ask someone else to take it for you or you can post it so that it is received by the registrar within that three day timescale.
