Religious or belief marriages

If you are having a civil ceremony conducted by a registrar you do not need to collect the marriage schedule. This will be brought to the ceremony by your registrar.

If you are having a religious or belief ceremony the schedule needs to be collected in person by one of the parties to the marriage from the registrar no more than seven days before the date of the ceremony.

The marriage schedule must be returned to the Registration office within three days of the ceremony so that it can be registered. If you cannot take the schedule back personally, you can ask someone else to take it for you or you can post it so that it is received by the registrar within that three day timescale.
