Health and Safety registration

Businesses such as offices, shops and warehouses employing workers have to register their premises with us.

Other categories of business, such as manufacturers, must register with the Health and Safety Executive.

How to apply

Contact Environmental Services for a business profile form, fill it in and return it.

How the application is dealt with

When the profile is returned your information is put into the Health and Safety database. Regular inspections are carried out to make sure your business is meeting its health and safety responsibilities.

It is in the public interest that we process your application before it can be granted so you will not be given tacit consent. If you haven't heard from us within 28 days contact  Environmental Services and we'll let you know about your application's progress.
