Blocked drains

The stank or gulley at the side needs to be clear so the water to drain quickly off the road in heavy rain. That's why our roadworkers are sent out to check the problem areas when very heavy rain is forecast. If a large puddle gathers around a gulley, use the Roads faults reporting form. Sewage waste around manhole covers

If there's a problem around the manhole covers (these are the large metal covers usually on the centre of the road) contact Scottish Water.
