Housing repairs

We are currently experiencing a high volume of repair requests and our phone lines are extremely busy. For now, our teams are prioritising emergency repairs.

If you have already reported a repair, there is no need to contact us. We will contact you as soon as we can to arrange the repair or make an appointment for an inspector to visit.

Please only contact us again if your repair has become an emergency.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Tenant responsibility

Before reporting a repair, please refer to our Housing Repairs policy and the Tenants guide to repairs which details repairs that are the tenant's responsibility. Some of these include:

  • decorating and minor plaster repairs
  • damage caused by neglect or carelessness
  • floor coverings (excluding floorboards and concrete)
  • fixtures and fittings (e.g., curtain rails, decorative lights)
  • light bulbs, plugs, and fuses (unless fitted by the council)
  • additional locks, spy-holes, or security chains
  • dividing fencing and outhouses

Preparing for your repair

  • Do not smoke or vape whilst the engineer or tradesperson is on site
  • Keep pets in a separate room away from where the repairs will be carried out
  • Ensure you have enough credit in your gas and/or electricity meters (if relevant)
  • Make sure the area around the repair site is clear and accessible for our engineer or tradesperson

Failure to meet with these requirements may result in the engineer cancelling the planned work.
