Notice of request for review of the refusal of the asset transfer request - McClymont House, Lanark
Application CAT/24/0017
On 15 November 2024 an asset transfer request was made to South Lanarkshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
The request was made by Healthy Valleys and related to the former care home Mcclymont House, 1 Smiddy Court, Lanark, ML11 7NZ.
The request was for a 20 year lease of the property and the proposed use of the building was for a Community Hub.
On 28 February 2025 South Lanarkshire Council issued a decision notice refusing the asset transfer request.
Healthy Valleys have submitted a request for a Review of that decision and the matter will be presented to the Housing and Technical Resources Sub Committee for consideration.
Copies of representations previously made will be considered by the Housing and Technical Resources Sub Committee when determining the review.

Further representations can be made to South Lanarkshire Council by those parties that previously commented on this asset transfer request. Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request and placed on the council website.
Representations must be made by Wednesday 9 April 2025. They should be made via the planning system, or sent to Iain Mulholland, Community Engagement Team, Finance and Corporate Resources, Council HQ, Almada St, Hamilton, ML3 0AA or by email to CommunityAssetTransfer@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
