Notice of asset transfer request - Raploch Pitches football complex

Ref CAT/24/0006

An asset transfer request has been made to South Lanarkshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

The request has been made by Larkhall Thistle Community Football Club, and relates to the former Raploch Pitches football complex, Burnbrae Road, Larkhall, ML9 1AL.

The request is to lease the property for 25 years.

The proposed use of the land is for the operation of a community football club.

The documents relating to this request can be viewed by emailing CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or viewed online on our planning portal. Choose Simple Search, and use the word “asset transfer” or reference number “CAT/24/0006” in the keyword search box.

Anyone may make representations about this request to South Lanarkshire Council.  Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request.

Representations must be made by 5pm on Tuesday 13 August 2024. They should be made via the planning system, or sent to Iain Mulholland, Community Engagement Team, Finance and Corporate Resources, Council HQ, Almada St, Hamilton, ML3 0AA or by email to CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
