Notice of asset transfer - Biggar golf course and caravan park

Ref CAT/25/0007

An asset transfer request has been made to us under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. The request has been made by Biggar Community Golf and Caravan Park Ltd.

The request is a 25 year lease of Biggar golf course and caravan park, Biggar, ML12 6HA.

The proposed use of the land is as a community-operated golf course and caravan park.

The documents related to this request can be viewed by emailing CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or online on our planning portal. Choose Simple Search, and use the word “asset transfer” or reference number “CAT/25/0007” in the keyword search box.

Anyone may make representations about this request to South Lanarkshire Council. Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request.

Representations must be made by Friday 31 October 2025. They should be made via the planning system, or sent to Iain Mulholland, Community Engagement Team, Finance and Corporate Resources, Council HQ, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA or by email to CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
