Community asset transfer

Ref CAT/25/0006

An asset transfer request has been made to us under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. The request has been made by Coulter Community Trust.

The request is to purchase Coulter Hall, Coulter, Biggar, ML12 6PZ.

The proposed use of the land is use as a community hall.

The documents relating to this request can be viewed by emailing CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or viewed online on our planning portal. Choose Simple Search, and use the word “asset transfer” or reference number “CAT/25/0006” in the keyword search box.

Anyone may make representations about this request to South Lanarkshire Council. Representations must be in writing and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be given to the organisation making the request.

Representations must be made by Thursday 23 October 2025. They should be made via the planning system, or sent to Iain Mulholland, Community Engagement Team, Finance and Corporate Resources, Council HQ, Almada St, Hamilton, ML3 0AA or by email to CommunityAssets@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
