Review and appeal
If an application is refused, the applicant organisation have the right to ask for a local review to be carried out by elected members, this has to be done within 20 days of receiving the decision from us.
This process takes place again within set time limits and involves consultation with parties who commented previously.
If this is also unsuccessful, then a formal appeal may be made within 20 days to the Scottish Government who will employ an independent examiner to review the facts and make a decision for their consideration.
