As a trader what does the scheme provide

As members, South Lanarkshire businesses will benefit from the following:

your business will be advertised on the Buy with Confidence website which will also be available through this website, which consumers can search to find you
inclusion on a list of approved traders that Trading Standards will make available to South Lanarkshire consumers
logos, marketing and publicity materials to promote your business as a Trading Standards approved business
promotion of the scheme by the Council's Trading Standards Service

Members will also benefit from advice on specific enquiries about Trading Standards legislation and the Trading Standards Service will provide updates on changes in the law as appropriate.

Responses to queries must be made by the Trading Standards Service within five working days. Queries will be allocated to a named contact officer who will be able to offer further advice and assistance to members on any Trading Standards related matters.

When required, this advice can be confirmed in writing for members.
