Buy with confidence
How do I find an approved trader?
Search our list of approved traders.
What does the approval mean?
Although the Buy with Confidence scheme will vet all members, the scheme cannot guarantee that any work done by members will not give rise to complaint. However it does mean that the approved companies must have an effective system for dealing with complaints.
The licensing conditions of the scheme mean that although a trader may be approved, the council does not:
- guarantee the financial status of any member
- accept any liability for any goods and services provided by any member
- guarantee the quality or condition of any goods or services provided by any member
- guarantee that the provision of goods and services is competitive relative to any other business
