Communal bins at flats
Food waste bins in flats will be emptied by our crews every week.
Some flats use mixed recycling blue bins - this is because of space and/or access restrictions. If you put your blue bin out every two weeks rather than every four weeks you should continue to follow these guidelines.
To report a missed communal bin please call 0303 123 1020.
Paper
Accepted: newspapers, magazines, leaflets, phone directories, envelopes (fully intact including glue and windows), brochures, office paper, letters, catalogues, unwanted mail, shredded paper, wrapping paper, paperback books. Please make sure all material is clean and dry - believe it or not, when it's damp bacteria can start to break it down, generating heat which poses a risk of fire.

NOT accepted: Metal furniture, cutlery, small electrical appliances, electrical cables, batteries, food or drink pouches, paint tins
