Social Work services charges
Frank's Law
The Scottish Government have updated the free personal care legislation by introducing the Community Care (Personal Care and Nursing Care) (Scotland) Amendment (No 2) Regulations 2018, which extends free personal care to all adults regardless of their age, condition, socio-economic status or marital status.
Personal Care is free of charge from 1 April 2019 to all adults who are assessed by their local authority as needing this service.
Social Work Resources has reviewed the charges to all adults under 65 years of age who receive an assessed personal care service as defined by the 'Act' and have taken all appropriate steps to ensure they are no longer charged for personal care.
The council's Charging Policy has been updated to take account of this legislative change.
