Rent setting survey
Tenants have your say on the proposed rent level increase for 2025-26
Every year the council reviews its’ budget to inform new rent levels for the year ahead. A key part of this process is the consultation that takes place with tenants.
Last year when we consulted on the proposed rent level, tenants supported a proposal for a three year approach. We are committed to maintaining this agreement, which will help tenants and the council to manage budgets over a longer period of time.
We want to ensure that tenants and other customers continue to receive high quality, efficient and responsive housing services. At the same time, we want to continue to be one of the most affordable landlords in Scotland, ensuring rents remain affordable to our tenants. This has been a key focus as we plan ahead into 2025-26.
Over the next few weeks, council tenants will have the opportunity to give their views on the proposed rent level options and council priorities for 2025-26 by completing our online survey.
The survey will remain open until 23 December 2024.
In addition to the survey, tenants will also have the opportunity to attend meetings to discuss the proposed rent level and council priorities for the year ahead.
If you are interested in attending one of these events, please email StratSupAdm@southlanarkshire.gov.uk for more details.
