| About us | Calderside Academy Parent Council is run by volunteer Parent Council members for the benefit of all pupils at the school. The Parent Council seek to ensure that the views of all members of the Parent Forum are represented. All parents and carers of children at the school are all automatically members of the Parent Forum. We fundraise by hosting Christmas and summer fayres, holding raffles and applying for grants to fund resources for our school. We aim to promote partnership between the school, pupils, parents and wider community. Our Facebook group is Calderside Academy Parent Council. |
| Our Wish | Our wish is for IT equipment; either laptops or Chromebook’s to be donated to the Parent Council for the benefit of all pupils at the school. We want all of the pupils at Calderside Academy to have access to, and experience digitally enabled learning by having digital tools and resources to create learning activities and experiences. Greater access to laptops and Chromebook's will lead to a more flexible and inclusive learning environment at school. If our wish is granted it will also provide text-to speech support via laptops and chromebooks for a pupils with dyslexia and other reading and writing difficulties. |
