| About us | We are currently a group of local volunteers that are trying to set up a Junior parkrun to take place in Strathaven park. Junior parkrun is a 2K run, walk or jog and takes place every Sunday for children and young people aged 4 - 14 years olds. It is a free and fun way to introduce children to non competitive physical activity. It helps build self esteem, helps with skill building through volunteering and brings the community together. Junior parkrun happen in locations all over the united kingdom. |
| Our Wish | We are shortly planning on starting up our own local junior parkrun in Strathaven, and have all our fund's secured to launch the event. While we will receive all our essential event kit, we are still looking for a small number of items that could be donated to us. These include, Waterproof Clipboards, Waterproof storage boxes or suitcase, Skibag/bag to event poles, large case (such as an art case), and where possible access to a printer. |
