Consultation summary and background | Every year the council reviews its’ budget to inform new rent levels for the year ahead. A key part of this process is the consultation that takes place with tenants. We want to ensure that tenants and other customers continue to receive high quality, efficient and responsive housing services. At the same time, we want to support tenants in financial difficulties and continue to be one of the most affordable landlords in Scotland, ensuring rents remain affordable to our tenants. This has been a key focus as we plan ahead into 2025-26. The views expressed during this consultation will be included in a report to Committee in early 2025 where approval for the rent increase will be sought. |
