| About us | Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre supports individuals in the Clydesdale Area, Rutherglen/Cambuslang Area, East Kilbride/Strathaven and Blantyre/Hamilton of South Lanarkshire. Established 20 years ago, the Lanarkshire Rape and Crisis Centre provides practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence from age 12 and older. We have different teams which support a range of services. Our support team provides one-to-one support therapy. The advocacy team supports the criminal justice process by the means of emotional assistance for an average of three years. Lastly our prevention team delivers specialist training in schools and colleges on topics such as consent and gender stereotypes. The centre has noticed an increase in demand and more support over and above our basic services. Therefore, we now provide the essentials for every service user within our wellbeing bags. These bags consist of shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and other essential body care products |
