About usDrum EK is a community drumming group for adults who feel that they suffer from mental health and wellbeing issues. Based in East Kilbride, with the purpose of helping to reduce social isolation and loneliness, the group is self-governing and meets weekly for 2 hours of music, percussion & singing. Our fun sessions encourage connection, support and the exploration of member’s creativity in a safe, nurturing environment.
Our WishWe are looking for a specialist to assist with Marketing and Developing our group out into the wider community as we would wish to include those furthest removed from the hub of the community. This could include those socially and financially isolated and lonely, those with mental health and wellbeing issues, those from minority groups trying to find their way into the community, those most vulnerable in our society. We would be keen to develop this further at our earliest opportunity.
