Recyling bins - information on social media | South Lanarkshire Council

Idea	I have come across this issue a lot where neighbours just don't seem to know what goes in each recycling bin and put non-recyclable items in the communal bins, such as black plastic bags, crisp packets, cutlery etc. The info on the council website is there but people have to go and search for it which many don't do. Some councils also have different recycling rules and people may move in this council area and assume it's the same. It would be good to occasionally make an informative post on social media with a visual guide on what goes in each bin.
Response	The council does use its social media channels to remind residents about appropriate use of all household bins. However, we will look to increase the number and frequency and messaging.
