About usSt Mary's Primary School Parent Council are a group of dedicated parents who work on behalf of the parents and children in our school community. Our goal is to support the school in providing the best possible education for our children, and to help create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. As a parent council, we organize a variety of events and activities throughout the school year, such as fundraisers, social events, and educational workshops. We also act as a liaison between parents, teachers, and the school administration, and provide a forum for parents to express their concerns and ideas. Our council is made up of a diverse group of parents with different backgrounds and perspectives, but we all share a common goal of supporting our children's education. We are committed to working collaboratively with the school community to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. We welcome all parents to get involved in our council, whether it's by attending our meetings, volunteering at our events, or simply sharing your ideas and feedback. Together, we can make a difference and help build a better future for our children. At present, we have a school role of over 440 and a large school community. We have identified that having a Defibrillator within the school grounds would be a great benefit to the school and the wider school community. Our school is located in a highly populated area of Hamilton.
Our WishOur parent council is seeking the donation of a defibrillator for our school. We believe that having a defibrillator on site is essential for the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors. In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, a defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death. Having one readily available can help increase the chance of survival while waiting for emergency services to arrive. Our school has a large population, with over 440 students, 40 staff, and numerous visitors on a daily basis. This makes the need for a defibrillator even more urgent. Your donation would make a significant difference in helping us achieve our goal of creating a safe and secure environment for our school community.
